My husband and I are just over halfway through our Trust Deed. Before entering into this we were both in a real bad way obviously finacially but emotionally too. However now we are coming out the other side (albeit a wee while away) we have really changed our way of living and actually enjoy our lives much more without worrying about debt. So far this experience has been far more positive than I could have ever imagined (it's not a stroll in the park and it has been hard changing the way we live). Entering into this process saved our marriage and I even think at one point my life. I will never be able to thank the people at Buchanan Roxburgh enough, they are making the process as painless as they can and they are great in terms of advice and suppport, recently they gave us some information to help us think and plan more for the future and coupled with informative sites like this we feel we will be able to manage our finances far better in the future.

Welcome to the trust deed forum buffytennant.
Forums such as this one, by their nature, tend to be used more where people are experiencing problems and challenges (rather than being used by people who are pretty pleased overall with the way things have gone).
It's much appreciated that you have taken the time to write about your positive experience which I'm sure will be reassuring for the many people who read the site while considering their own options.
I'm very glad that the trust deed has helped to improve so many aspects of your life already and that you're looking forward to the future. Well done also to your trust deed provider who have obviously played a big part in this success story as well.

i feel exactly the same as you buffytenant it is such a relief to not have to worry about debt all the time,the thing i have noticed is that when you go to buy something you really do think twice about it instead of just getting it anyway and shoving it on credit card and then worrying about that bill as well ,and finding out you really didnt need or want what you had bought,it not a walk in the park and hard at times but i am so glad that after christmas i do not have the nightmare of bills coming in as everything will have been paid for now,like you my tust deed company rsm tennon have been brilliant and this forum has been a great help to
