I've just read the Scotsman article that you provided a link for.

My reading of this article is that the company has simply made a business decision to be a private rather than a public company.

Readers of this forum will obviously draw their own conclusions about the information on service (in other threads) provided by visitors to this forum.

I would just point out that larger companies are very likely to be discussed here more than smaller companies because of the higher number of visitors that will have dealt with them. This particular company are a major operator in the Scottish Trust Deeds market.
