Will you do anything to mark the day that your trust deed is officially closed? I plan to treat myself and go somewhere I've never been. Considering how skint I've been for so long and that I've spent most of my adult life digging myself deeper into debt, there are a lot of places I've never been.
Given my impending status of constant fear of further debt, it'll be on a very tight budget[:D].
Nothing left to discharge - everything's done and dusted!
Same here Gillian, I have been skint for around the past 8 years as prior to Trust Deed I was in Debt Management and paying another IP a similar large amount.
Unfortunately I have just learned that, as I work for local government and they are cutting budgets, my salary will be reduced by ยฃ4000 a year, but at least I still have a job. I will still be better off though as I am not paying off the trust deed anymore so am planning to get away on a well deserved holiday in the sun in July if I can find something within my budget. ๐
I'm getting married in August, and on 16th June (the day after my final monthly contribution is made) I will be travelling to Vilnius for my Stag weekend.
Double celebration!
I think I'll pick somewhere to go for a few days that'll cost the same as a months payment then get on with the thankless task of saving and rebuilding my credit rating. Fingers crossed my banger of a car'll hold out for another couple of years.
Nothing left to discharge - everything's done and dusted!
The missus is due to have a baby in October, and she's just been made redundant, so nothing special. But I have finally started a long time dream to get my motorcycle licence, and hope to have it by the time Jnr is born.
