Hi,

I'm wondering if there is a way i can find all my creditors. And who to contact to discuss them. I know who they were with originally but obviously companies sell of debts to collection agencies etc.

Thanks

Hi jannie.

It may be worth reviewing your credit file to see how much helpful information is there.

Also, putting any correspondance that you continue to receive about the debts in a single place may help to piece everything together.

There was a thread recently where it was explained that trust deed firms may write to the original lender and leave it to them to notify the debt purchaser or collector if they're now involved.

In terms of "who to contact", does this refer to seeking out advice on the debts in general, or to discuss each of these debts individually with the companies that may now be handling them?

It would be to Each one individually, I'm trying to explore all avenues of what to do with my debts. I checked Experian but there was a few discrepencies and not everything has been included.

Thanks

Hi jannie.

So long as the debts aren't really old I would have thought each original lender would be able to point you towards any debt purchaser that has taken over responsibility. They should also be able to give you the relevant contact details.
