I'm just wondering is there's an average time from signing a trust deed to the notice being placed in the Edinburgh Gazette?

I signed on 25.04.12 but it was a representative who came to my home to witness and uplift all the paperwork.

I provided all the required verification which I was asked to and I haven't had any contact from Trust Deed Firm since.

How long did everyone else's take?

Hi mummy2twins.

Was it a representative from the actual trust deed provider that visited you, or was it a representative from an intermediary that will then pass your case to an insolvency practitioner?

When this question has come up in the past I think the answer has been that the guidance says it should be advertised "forthwith" though that is of course a slightly open term. I'd have thought that a week would be a reasonable period of time for this to happen.

The firm is KPMG and as I wasn't able to get into one of their offices, they arranged for someone from Property Service Partnership to visit me and they would pass all the paperwork onto KPMG.

I presumed it would be sent straight away so they should have had it about a week now and since I haven't been asked to provide any further information that they have all they need.

I doubt that it will take long mummy2twins.

There may have been a couple of days added to the process with the paperwork being collected by a party appointed by KPMG.

Probably best to make a quick call next week to check that they have what they need and when the advertisement will go out.
