Also do you think it is possible to have the amount of equity reduced ?Also it is now 6 months since my husbands last payment, when would discharge now happen ?
Also been reading about checking our credit report this seems along drawn out process is there an other way round this ?
tips and advise always gratefully received.I paid my last payment in November. So hopefully ther is more ttan a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel.[:I]
Hello lorrainek.
If you can demonstrate that the equity figure has actually reduced you may be in a position to negotiate a reduced payment.
Is this what you believe has happened?
Does your husband have to deal with the equity as well? If so that will need to be completed prior to discharge.
Your credit report may not turn out to be an issue at all. Take a look at it a few weeks after discharge and we'll try to assist you to resolve any issues that you identify (if they do exist).
If you cannot get a response from your caseworker you may want to write to your trustee personally to see if he/she can get things moving for you.
Hi Lorrainek,
If you can't speak with your case worker, ask to speak with someone else about your case i.e. another case worker, manager or even the Trustee.
If you agreed on an amount of equity at the outset of the Trust Deed and this was verified then this is what the Trustee will request you to pay over.
If your husband jointly owns the property then he would not receive his discharge until the equity issue has been concluded.
What was the agreement re the equity at the start of your Trust Deed?
