I have paid monthly payments to my TD for 64 months. my new TD company seem to be very surprised I was allowed to continue to pay past my original 36 months without contact from my TD. There was a small amount of equity in my home, so I was aware I was paying towards that. It seems that you are not expected to pay past 60 months. Can i ask for the additional 4 months of payments to be returned - or would that be very cheeky? The new TD company have issued communication that they are issuing a discharge in the next few weeks.

I am grateful for your assistance - this is just as nerve-wracking as signing TD in the beginning - many thanks

Hi again.

There's no general rule about 60 months.

I'd imagine this is an internal policy at your new trust deed provider.
