Has anyone been successful at getting a mortgage company to release equity from their home to pay off the equity at the end ?

These types of transaction were common place before the credit crunch and I have not dealt with Many since. That's not to say they are say they are not available. It may be difficult to obtain whilst in the TD as a lot of lending criteria has changed. Failing this the Trustee may look at other options including third party funding, extension of the deed to ingather further monthly payments in leui of equity, things like that.

Hi goneunder.

I'm afraid that I cannot remember anyone here reporting, for years, that they've been able to release equity in this way during a trust deed.

Hi goneunder,

Do you have equity in your property which you need to release to bring your Trust Deed to a close?

As Rob and TDA have advised there was a time when we regularly re-mortgaged a property to release the equity in it and bring the Trust Deed to a close but after the ÔÇ£credit crunchÔÇØ and the removal of the sub-prime lenders from the market this is pretty much impossible today.

Hi goneunder.

I wish I could give your a more reassuring and certain reply but I think you're going to have to talk through the options with your trustee and take it from there.
