Morning. I started paying my TD in May 2014 so by my calculations my 48 payments ended on 1sr April 2018. I have £2640 equity on my property that was agreed at the start I would continue to pay monthly. I pay £300 per month. I have had a letter through saying I will now pay the equity at £300 pm between 31st May-31st December with a final payment of £240 by 31st January. I worked out that by continuing to pay £300 pm on the 1st of the month as I have been doing would mean that 1st May-1st December would be £2400 cleared with my last payment of £240 being taken on 1st January clearing my agreement. The letter I received seems to look for an extra months payment as they have not taken into account the payment I made on 1st May. Also not sure why they have decided to change my due date to the 31st of the month when it's always been the 1st? Can anyone shed any light please?

Hi iwant2bfree.

It should be easy enough to request and receive a list of the payments that you've made.

You'll then be able to check when the 48 months ended and point out any error (if it exists) to the trustee.

Regarding the payment date, I have no idea. Best to ask them directly.
