Where would the funds for an early settlement of the trust deed come from?

A family member. I pay 400 a month and have 10 months left.

It's really for you to make an offer to your trustee Td14. Make sure they're aware that the funds will come from a third party.

They don't have to accept it, but your trustee might consider that a payment of £4000 to cover the remaining payments would represent a good outcome for your creditors and for you.

Hi TD14, i believe the trustee would need to speak to your creditors to find out if this was acceptable to them. When your creditors accepted yiur trust deed itwas on the basis that you paid as much as you can, but also if you came into any money during the trust deed period that you'd need to pay it over. If there is still a lot of debt outstanding, it would be understandable if they said no, as they may think that perhaps youve got a pay rise around the corner, or know you're going to come into some money soon and are trying to avoid having tompay it over.

That said, as TDA said, its worth a shout, but do make sure that you make it clear that the money would come from a relative and will only be provided if it will bring the trust deed to a close.
