Welcome to the forum mc070196.

You may well be finished, but only your trustee can confirm that for you.

I'd give them a call and enquire at the same time how long they expect to take over providing you with your discharge. There's no unified timeframe for this.

Hi mc070196,

Well done on reaching this point in your Trust Deed.

The best thing to do is contact your Trustee and confirm with them that you have completed all of your payments and when you can expect to receive your discharge.

How have you found the whole Trust Deed process? Is it something you would recommend to someone financially struggling as a way to help them manage their debts?

Thanks for responding to my question, I will call my trustee this week to find out where i am with it, and hopefully i will be discharged. I was glad there was such a thing as a trust deed, without it i dont know how i would have been able to cope with the debt i had. It was so straight forward to set up, and to lower my outgoing monthly payments was a load of my mind, both mentally and emotionally. I would deffinately recommend anyone who is struggling with debt to find out about a trust deed and arrange to set one up.

Hi mc070196,

It's always good to hear positive stories regarding Trust Deed's on the forum.

I think if set up correctly and for the right reasons then a Trust Deed can help to write off debt that someone can't afford to repay and also help to reduce their monthly payments.

Glad to hear it's helped you become debt free.
