Does having a trust deed black list your home address as my son, who lives with me and has just started a new job, wants to purchase a mobile phone contract and I am worried that he will be refused.

They are supposed to be individual and shouldn't be linked to an address. I wouldn't expect there to be a problem

Hello peggy04 and welcome to the forum.

SkintAlly is correct. There is no such thing as a credit blacklist, and credit records concern individuals rather than addresses.

If someone enters into a trust deed, and they have joint financial arrangements with another person at the same address (for example a joint mortgage), a link between their credit records might be apparent.

This would not reduce the credit rating of the person who did not enter a trust deed, but it might affect the willingness of lenders to offer credit to them.

If a link were created between you and your son on your credit files, and you do not have joint financial arrangements, the problem could be taken care of by sending a "notice of disassociation" to the credit reference agencies.
