Hi there i've not posted in a while, can someone please explain what should happen after my trustee has been discharged and the discharge date is on the aib website. the Trustee discharge for both me and my wife have been on the site for a few months, so how long should it take for my creditors to show settled on my credit file, or do i need to contact them, and surely they would have been notified that the rest of my debt has to be written off. many thanks.

Your credit file should have been updated when you were discharged, potentially some considerable time before your trustee was also discharged.
They have the tools needed to be aware of your discharge, and your credit file should have been updated when they next reported to the credit reference agencies. My understanding is that some only report monthly, but even so I guess this would mean within 8 weeks or less (potentially much less) after your discharge happens.
Sadly this doesn't happen consistently. You'll need to contact them directly if you want to ask them (or require them) to make changes. They're obligated to ensure that they only report correct information about you (under the Data Protection Act) so should act promptly if you ask them, or require them, to correct erroneous information that they have reported.
