I am looking for advice on how start clearing up my credit file. I have been discharged for over a year, have all paper work to that affect. I was wondering if it is possible to have the below removed from my credit file, this is under public record information:
Information type:TRUST DEED
Date: 13/07/06
Case Number: xxxxx
End Date:13/07/09
Source:EDINBURGH GAZETTE
Court name: UNKNOWN
Furthermore I would like to know if it is possible to have old defaulted accounts removed? Would anyone have guidence and/or a template that would enable me contact lenders/credit references? I would be very greatful if someone could point me in the direction of a template the best I have managed to source is an IVA version that was posted on the Martin Lewis Website.
See below a typical note on my account. Can this be updated any further or can it only be removed after 02/12/12 even if this after the date i signed the trust deed? And by removed i mean not SHOWING at all on the credit file anymore?
Company: ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND
Account Type: Loan
Started: 04/06/04
Current Balance: Satisfied
Payment terms: £276 x 84 months
Default Date:02/12/06
Default Balance: £16288
Account Updated to 11/04/10
Satisfied Date: 30/03/10
I have various accounts in the above state and the default dates range from 02/12/06 (As above - Satisfied) 29/09/06 (only account showing as o/s amount not satisfied) and 13/07/06 (satisfied).
One last question, if there is a letter template within that can you also ask for searches over 12 months to be removed from your account as I also have a number of these that have not been updated?
I look forward to hearing from someone and looking forward to finally putting this all to bed!
Thanks in advance.

Just to note, I have actually been discharged as per credit file from July 2009, my confirmation of discharge came in May 2010 and this is me now 6 years on from "Defaults & Protected status" trying to tidy up my credit file, i hope that makes more sense regarding my questions. Thank you.

Welcome to the forum lwatson174.
The entry recording your trust deed seems likely to disappear imminently. It would normally stay there for six years, so should go away naturally around now.
The default notice from December should not be dated so long after the trust deed began, and we understand you have the right to request that the bank backdate this entry to the time your trust deed started. That will mean that it should fall off your file around now as well. The same should apply to the default notice dated in September.
See: https://www.trust-deed.co.uk/repair-your-credit-rating.html
I'm not sure you can have searches removed from your file unless the records aren't accurate.
Thank you for the quick reply. I will send the letter confirming the dates in the hope they up date them and the fall off. It says on experian seachers should only be luve for 12 month so will stick that in a letter n hope for the best. In the meantime I found a linked search thats not actually mine either so will ask for that to be removed.
Thank you for your help.
