Hi all
I have been discharged from my TD since Dec 2012. I am still having companies send me statements for full amount as if it hasn't been dealt with correctly. It is also showing on my credit report. I was advised not to have any contact with creditors from the company dealing with my TD. I tried to contact the company for advice but the number is no longer in use
Philip Gill and co
Mark Mcfadyen
Any help would be great to further my quest to have a decent credit score
Welcome to the forum Tdfree2012.
It clearly hasn't been dealt with correctly by your creditors. They'll have been sent documentation when your trust deed ended, and should have updated their records and your credit report accordingly.
You'll need to contact them directly and require them to update your records. They may need proof from you of your discharge to do this, which you'll have been sent at the time.
If they don't make the appropriate updates you should escalate the contact to being a formal complaint.
You will not be able to contact the firm you mention as they're no longer trading.
Hi Tdfree2012 and welcome to the forum.
It’s up to your creditors to update their system and it would appear that they haven’t done this when your Trust Deed was closed and you were discharged.
When you were discharged you would have received a discharge certificate. You can send a copy of this to the creditors that are sending you statements and ask that they update their system.
If you don’t have a copy of any of your Trust Deed paperwork then you might be able to contact the Accountant in Bankruptcy as they might be able to provide you with some paperwork.
In terms of your credit score/report, how does this look? Are there any defaults on this? Any default on your credit file will remain on there for 6 years from the date the default was placed. It could be the case that the defaults are coming to an end soon and in turn this will help your credit report.

That's very handy to knoe they are not trading anymore. Web info is still very much active.
Closure of Trust deed letter and form 5 letter of discharge of debtor.
Will this be enough?
Hi again.
My understanding is that a firm of this name still operates in Northern Ireland, Wales, and England. Philip Gill & Co (Scotland) Ltd no longer exists.
Form 5 is the evidence that you may need to confirm that you have been discharged from your trust deed.
Hi Tdfree2012,
The closure of the Trust Deed letter and more importantly Form 5 discharge of debtor are the forms which you want to take copies off and post off to the creditors that are still giving you hassle. Once you do this I would be surprised if you heard anything else from them.
