Hi, I have checked on the AIB website and it says my wife and myself are both discharged as from 20/2/2017, (happy days, progress). However I use Noddle for my credit file, and on my wife's it stated she is discharged from a trust deed, but in mine there is no mention of a trust deed whatsoever, and there never has been, will that cause me problems later on if it ends up appearing on there. Thank you
No it doesn't show on mine, and never has done, but it shows on my wife's, and now says discharged on hers,
Another question TDA, my form 5 is in the post, does that mean my Trustee will be paying my creditors real soon, and then they should show satisfactory on my credit file, and then I can start building my score up. Thank you
Hi poprey.
Your trustee may or may not pay your creditors soon, but that's a red herring in terms of your creditors updating your credit file.
They should update your credit file when you're discharged, not when your trustee makes a payment to them.
You may find that you have to contact some of them to request or demand that they get a move on with this. I'd leave it at least a month though before starting that - some will probably do it on their own.
Hi poprey,
It could take your Trustee a couple of months or longer to make payments to the creditors.
As TDA has advised this should not have an impact on your credit rating. The relevant part for your credit report is your discharge. You should be able to start building up your credit file now.
