Hi There

Can anyone tell me please, how long you have to wait for companies to put satisified or settled onto your account when the trust deed was protected and has been finished for 18 months. We had our final accounts though we did have to chase them up, it was 9 months after the end of the TD when we finally got them. But even still, some accounts are still showing on credit reports as defaults outstanding. How do I get these companies to put settled or satisfied against them? I would be grateful of any useful info on this issue.

Thanks

Hazzie1

Hello Hazzie1 and welcome. I know it was a while ago, but congratulations on having completed your trust deed.

Some lenders seem to mark default notices as being satisfied when a trust deed is completed, others seem to need a nudge from their account holder to get on and do this.

Unfortunately this is outside of the scope of the work of a trust deed company, and is therefore something you'll want to take on with your ex-creditors that are yet to make the update. I'd start with a phone call and send a letter requesting the change at the same time.

That's good news dexter10.

Getting the last one sorted out will be helpful for your mortgage application.
