If i have a trust deed and i am applying for car and home insurance do i answer the the question "have you been bankrupt or ccj's" as yes i am bankrupt?

Welcome to the forum bighibee2000.

No in terms of bankruptcy. You're not bankrupt (though trust deeds and bankruptcy are both forms of personal insolvency).

You should still check with the insurer that there are no policy restrictions against persons in protected trust deeds. This isn't always made very clear in advance - it's for you to reassure yourself before taking out a policy.

There's obviously no point in taking out cover that will not pay out as expected due to such an exclusion.
