Hi,

Just looking for some advice really on how to proceed here.

I entered a Trust Deed back in August 2012 and it became protected in October 2012.

Over the past 6-7 Years i have now finally managed to complete my obligations in March this year with my Trustee finally being discharged earlier this month. I know that this was longer than normal but there were reasons for the extension.

Most if not all of my defaults have long since fallped off of my credit file with the exception of 1 creditor, who is still marking my file monthly as being a default/delinquent balance.

I am hoping that in the next few months or so that this will finally be marked as settled and fall off my credit file, but what happens if the creditor continues to mark my file monthly as default/delinquent.

This is the only blemish now appearing on my credit report, with everything else showing as being paid and on time for the last few years.

What options do i have here in terms of getting the creditor to mark this debt as settled and what date should the settled date state?

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum dunky2k.

Section 5 on the following page should help you with this:

https://www.trust-deed.co.uk/repair-your-credit-rating.html

The creditor should have issued a default notice when your trust deed began. That notice (and that account) would then have fallen off your credit file six years later (2018).

You'll need to contact the lender to ask them to make changes.
