Hi.

Anyone got any recent tales of creditfix closure process?

How long from your final payment did it take?

Did the say they were looking into the equity situation even if your original agreement said otherwise?

Did you have to send proof of your original agreement with pjg with regards to equity?

Any other useful info?

Thanks

Steve

Hi

I have been told should be six months but I don't own any property. Only real issue would be if I came into money, ie won the lottery during this period!

I would happily take a lottery jackpot and then I could clear the lot plus give them a big bonus too!

paid all my equity off an never missed a payment, but as you said told 6 months plus the extra 8-10 weeks added on asked them about redundancy money as I work in oil sector an things still not looking good told we will look at how much we will take when you get your redundancy pay not happy hanging on for a further 8 months till I can apply for any fianc?ยฎ deals be it a little credit card or car as I certainly cannot afford the repairs needed on the wreck I have but as others have said on here keep at them

they said it would take 6 months to close ,and when I mentioned that I could be made redundant I asked how much would you take if I did get made redundant they said we'll have to see how much you get so we see how much to take .Hopefully I'm not made redundant but they will not give me a closure date at all. Clearly saying 6 months not at all helpful

The same period was quoted to downandout (above) where there is no such likelihood of a windfall.

That's why I question the word "purposefully". I don't think there's any evidence here to support it.

That's a different issue to six months seeming like a very long period to process a discharge.

No... you wrote "Purposefully holding off closing it to see what redundancy payment you get?".

There's no evidence for that. You made a statement that you cannot support.

As I've already written - 6 months for discharge seems like a very long time. But that's a different issue.

You've made a specific allegation against a named firm.

I'm pointing out that you've no evidence to support that allegation - and that the available evidence points to exactly the opposite.

This will already be clear to every single reader of this post (yourself excepted).

I'm trying to help and protect you I suppose, while protecting the forum as well. I guess one out of two ain't bad.

What's the difference between a trustee and a relationship manager

As with a lot of things regarding Trust Deeds, each firm and Trustee can handle things differently. I guess it's another thing for someone to check when they are looking at their options before picking which firm to handle their Trust Deed.

My firm look to process the Form 5 as soon as we can to provide the client with their discharge once they have completed all of their obligations which is generally within 3-4 weeks of the final payment. We then deal with the closure administration, chasing up any outstanding claim and making payments to creditors. From what I understand some firms will provide a client with their discharge once they have completed all of the administration of the case which can delay their discharge by months.

I wouldn't agree that a firm is purposely delaying someone's discharge, I think it's simply down to the way they are set up to deal with the administration and their own internal process for things like this.

poprey - A Trustee is the person who is ultimately personally responsible for the Trust Deed and all decisions and administration aspects of it. They are called an Insolvency Practitioner. A relationship manager is the person that looks after the day to day running of a case, handles the queries from a client, creditor or anyone else. It's not practical for a Trustee to handle things like this as they can have 1,000s of Trust Deed's against their name so relationship managers deal with the day to day admin.

If anyone is wondering why I appear to be talking to myself in the middle of this thread, steve1984 has decided to remove a number of his posts that I was responding to. He's acknowledged that in the thread - I just wanted to make it totally clear.
