I'm not sure if anyone's an expert on credit reports (CreditExpert specifically), but I just re-activated my CreditExpert membership and had a look at my file for the first time in about five years.

There's no mention of my Trust Deed whatsoever, nor is there any sign of the credit accounts that it covered. There are in fact only six entries, all relating to accounts that were settled ages before the Trust Deed began. It therefore looks like I've got a squeaky clean credit report, which clearly isn't right!

I suspect it might be to do with the fact that I hadn't yet input any of my previous addresses when it generated the report - I've moved house no less than five times since 2006, but the report seems to be based on me still residing at my parents' address. This would make sense as all of the credit accounts it shows were taken out while I was living there.

I've obviously now updated my account to reflect all of the various addresses I've lived at since 2006, but I'm not sure how or even if I can go about regenerating a more accurate report.

Does anyone know how this works? Do I just wait for a new report to be automatically generated, or do I need to contact Experian?

Any help or advice appreciated!

Hi imcville.

I'm not sure that any of "the team" will have much to offer you on this subject as it really falls outside of the areas we're trained and experienced in.

Other members may have dealt with similar issues though and have some information to share.

It does seem odd, but I suspect you're right that the address changes are are the root of the discrepancy. Does Experian have a customer services line you could call?

Hi TDA. This is a case of sod's law - I was about 20 minutes too quick in starting this thread!

Having re-checked the report, the Trust Deed and all related credit accounts are now visible. Everything looks pretty much as I'd expected it to look - the applicable credit accounts are showing as "Default" and the Trust Deed has a "Satisfaction Date" of 16th June 2011 against it.

The only surprise (and it's a pleasant one) is that my credit score falls within the "Fair" category - I had expected this to be pretty much rock bottom!

Looks like problem solved, but thanks anyway!

Hi There,

I have joined free trials on experian & callcredit,
Experian shows nothing of my trust deed or any bad credit therefore giving me a false reading of good credit.
callcredit showing trust deed as still active & poor credit rating.
equifax are a bloody nightmare & no matter what i try & do they just keep giving me their number to phone, which i will do when im home in with their office hours

Lynne
