Was very fortunate to be chooseed by the Trust Deed forum staff to participate in a free trial in Repairing my Credit File. Part of this acceptance was my agreement to give feedback onto the forum that others may make their mind up to whether they think this may be the way forward.
Personally i think a company like this is long overdue as not everyone is able to letter or contact the creditors with the correct correspondence to get their files updated on the credit files as they should be.
I intend to keep this file active as a diary of the proceedings during the trial period, so hopefully things go well and I'm able to report nothing but good things from the Resolution company that has kindly taken this on.
This post has initially been posted here... https://www.trust-deed.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=5495 which will give you an insight into what its all about.

Anyway Day one, Had a phone call from a friendly chap called Pete from the Resolution company in question, who asked simple questions to get a basic understanding of my background & requested a copy of my discharge form5 and a copy of my credit report. Both quickly e-mailed back to Pete for assessment of my finances and overall state of play.
Just a weight off my mind that someone with this knowledge can deal with this headache. Hopefully in the next few months, all the creditors will accept & update their credit files with the main three credit agencies.

Thanks for adding this Rickie1.

As you'll understand there's no magic wand here - but hopefully the firm concerned will be able to utilise their knowledge, contact book, diary systems and administrative organisation to push things forward positively for you.

You know what might be interesting? I wonder if SkintAlly would considering also posting on this thread about their progress?

SkintAlly may choose to explain where I'm coming from...

Hi TDA, that's no problem at all. I'll need to get back to you later though as I've a 3 year old demanding my attention just now. Will write back soon.

Hi Folks,

Sorry its taken so long for me to respond. To help explain the point that TDA is referring to, I also applied for the free trial of the Credit File Repair Service under the category of Newly Discharged. At the same time however, I also offered to try and complete this work myself and then provide details of my progress to the forum in order to provide a comparison situation for those interested. As the guys at the forum where happy for me to do this, I will also be providing a diary/progress report as I begin my attempt at improving my Credit File from scratch.

To give an update of my current situation, I was discharged on 24/2/15. Prior to doing this I registered with Noddle (02/2/15) in order to review my credit file. For those of you unaware, Noddle is a free credit report service that allows you to view a version of your credit file which is updated Monthly. I believe there is a premium service that updates daily, but once a month is good just now. In looking at my file, I found that all of the creditors included with My TD were showing defaults with the exception of Barclaycard which was showing as all good for some reason. I checked my file again following my discharge which had been updated for march and as expected there was no change. Going forward from here, my plan is to review my file again in April with the necessary letters at the ready for those who need pushed along. I also plan to do some research between now and then to find out more about the key points that I should be looking to have changed. Hopefully I will be able to provide a worth while comparison.

Time Since Discharge - 13 Days
Time Spent Working on Improvements - 0.5 Hrs
Money Spent - ยฃ0.00

Pete was on the phone again.
Sent me access requests forms to fill in for all the three credit agencies. Also a letter of Authority for him to proceed with investigations on my behalf.
These have all been received by e-mail filled in and replied same day with a free post address (which helps)!
Anyway, his next plan is to contact all my creditors and seek out the three credit agencies with a credit report to see what they are actually showing against my creditors. Obviously the plan from here is to get them to update their records with what should be correct and the relevant lettered correspondence to them. Im assuming it may help coming from a company like this instead of a Joe Bloggs like myself.
Fingers crossed, things seem to be in progress & rolling along nicely!

Hi folks, just thought I'd give a wee update on my progress at sorting things myself. I registered for the free trial of Experians Credit Expert this morning and was delighted to find that I have a rating of 963 which is excellent apparently. On that basis I guess it's job done.................. I wish!! I was actually really disappointed that a service like this which charges considerable amounts of money over time can get things so wrong. My credit file is laced with defaults and the dreaded insolvency stain is there as well and yet some how they give me an excellent credit score?? I think they need to look at there scoring system. Nevertheless, Taking advantage of the free service, I printed of a full credit report and plan to identify the creditors who have the wrong default date recorded over the next few days. I had hoped that after one month there might have been at least one positive change made without any input from myself, but this didn't appear to be the case. Perhaps it's time for a few phone calls. I'll keep you posted.

Diary Update...
Received my very full itemised credit reports today from all three agencies, Equifax, Experian & CallCredit. These were requested by Pete, and were duly delivered to me within 10 days after being requested. (Obviously Petes company has more pull than that of the average punter!)
Anyway, things seems to be rapidly moving along. Hopefully the next bit of good news should be the Creditors accepting Petes request to accept the outstanding debt against my Discharge form 5 as being satisfied or at least partially satisfied against my credit report. This will be sooooooo good to see some other colour on my file instead of black squares dotted all over the credit report sheet.
Fingers crossed, this company doing the legwork and obviously knowing what they are doing (which helps) is looking good & I'm certainly pleased with the quick & rapid way things are moving, which is in the right direction.
One other bit of excellent news, my wife and i were both accepted for Aqua credit cards. Yes, they are very low amounts of credit, but we are happy. The intention of these is to build up the credit file again, not use them for stuff we can't afford. We managed to live within our means for the last three years, so why change now?
Im looking forward to my Credit file monthly update.

Thank you Rickie1 and Ally.

It's certainly going to be interesting watching how this all develops on a thread like this that will capture timelines as well as challenges/successes.

Thanks for taking the time to share your progress.

Diary Update,
Got confirmation through the credit agencies that another two creditors have accepted my discharge and have reported either Satisfied, or Partially Satisfied on account of the discharge. I have three defaults still standing/active, whilst I've only been discharged since December, i would have assumed these other creditors would have accepted my discharge by now five months later. However, as said before, I'm moving in the right direction and with the credit rating very slowly moving in the right direction, things are slowly getting back to normal.
In regard to Open resolutions who are dealing with my case, i haven't had any correspondence in the last month or so since sending in all my documents etc. Its probably normal, as these things don't tend to get fixed overnight.
Any further news, ill update.

I'm afraid that this thread isn't going to develop as we had all hoped.

My colleague has just emailed the three trial participants to let them know that the company providing the trial has unfortunately fallen into administration (as a result of not receiving new volume work that had been pledged to them).

It's a real shame. There clearly seems to be a market for a good firm to deliver a good credit repair service. If someone reading this is looking for a good business opportunity...
