Hi, does anyone out there have any experience of the TD dropping off their credit file after the 6 years and whether it made any immediate difference to credit scores etc?
TIA
Hi FinishedMarch15.
Ignore the credit scores given out by the various credit reference agencies.
They're all over the place, aren't used by lenders, and seem to bear little relation to people's actual ability to get credit after trust deeds.
A more productive question for those with experience of this might be whether they were able to access more mainstream credit once their trust deed was no longer present on their credit file.
One late payment on my credit file can drop my score by 200 overnight and adding an increase in available credit which I would have thought would increase it back up only made it worse I've went from 788 to 199 in a month hoping when one of my creditors who made a mistake and promises to rectify it by end of month it will go back up as I've went from fair to very poor, also the insurance searches that aren't meant to affect your score well they did and that wasn't even me looking that was comparison websites storing my details from previous years and automatically searching I'm getting on average four searches a day and imagine I will till next month after my new insurance starts
