Just a quick note question.

Just been to my bank to see if they can help me in away to get my credit score rolling again. I explained all bout my debt and the manager said that a trust deed remains on file for 6 years after discharge. is it 6 years after discharge or 6 years from singing trust deed.

Hi richard79, it should be 6 years from the date you signed your TD.

Hi richard79.

I can confirm that my understanding is the same as that provided by blacklilly. Around six years from the start of the trust deed.

Your right , checked my credit file and it no longer shows , plus my debts now all show as satisfied as it has been more than 6 years . Though if I applied for credit and was asked have you had a trust deed or a IVA in the past would I be totaly honest by saying NO as its no longer on my file ?.

Hi pinalta.

Based upon the question you state it wouldn't be an honest answer to say "no" just on the grounds that it didn't appear on your credit file. It might even be construed to be fraud.

How you choose to answer however is a matter for you.
