Hello again.
Quick question regarding my credit file. I am having trouble getting Hbos and halifax plc to update my credit file 3 accounts keep showing as default every month and the account still open. It is nearly 6 years since the accounts first defaulted so will they drop off my file or will they remain on as they still registered as being open accounts. Thanks in advance.

If there's balances open I'd imagine they'll stay on your credit file (a 6 year old default notice would drop off).
If you cannot resolve this with a complaint to the bank you may wish to contact the Information Commissioners Office.
