Hi guys.
Just looking for a bit of advice regarding energy suppliers.

I,m currently with scottish power and owe a bit of debt to them but I,m looking to change supplier to save money.

If I was to move supplier does the new one do a credit check?

I,ve been discharged from my trust deed for about 5 months now but my credit report is still showing about 3 unsatisfied accounts.

Or- would I be able to change the new supplier into my husbands name just so we can get on a better deal.

All this energy stuff confuses me..

thanks...

Hi starbucks88.

I think it would be wise to assume that they'll credit check you if you're looking for a credit account.

That's not to say that you'll automatically fail though, we don't know what they're looking for or what their idea of an acceptable credit account client is. You'll have to apply to find out.

If your husband has a better credit rating than you, you might conclude that an account just in his name could be more straightforward.
