i entered into a protected trust deed with buchanan roxburgh now carrington dean 4th September 2009 total debt of £18665 in unsecured loans, I do own my own home which was valued by them at £110,000 when my mortgage was just below this amount, although looking at the paperwork 'the valuation was an estimate provided by the debtorbut a formal valuation will be instructed' this has never been provided to me. I entered into this deed to help me save my home and the trustee is now saying that I may have to sell my property and after paying £180 per month for 3 years they say I now have equity over £23,000. Do they have the right to make me sell my property or do I have any other options I am a self employed bricklayer and live alone

Hello boris and welcome. Sorry that you've had to wait a little while for a response.

I'd suggest asking for a copy of that valuation. Do you know if the property has been revalued now that you're near the end of the process?

Do you dispute the figure of £23000 for current equity in the property?
