It's amazing how many people get in touch with us regretting having proceeded with firms that cold called them.

It's probably very human to reach out to the first helping hand when you find yourself worried and in financial trouble. I only hope anyone reading this who is in this position can take a temporary step backwards to make a considered decision about which individuals and firms they entrust to help them.

As we've written here a lot, it's almost always more important to make the right decision than it is to make a quick decision.
