Hi folks! My son has just turned 14, and is keen to open his own bank account. So that he can manage his own pocket money etc. Will he be able to open one with our credit history being bad??
If so, can anyone recommend one? Just for withdrawing money etc, no overdrafts

Hi Nemo1.
Your son can open his own bank account. Your credit history is irrelevant here if you're not named on the account. The bank wouldn't be able to offer him credit because of his age.
I'd take a look on one of the comparison websites. They're good for comparing different types of savings accounts in particular.
