So I was in the same boat as most, trust deed ended and PPi claim in with RBS.
I was in two minds to sign the acceptence form or not as it could cost me ยฃ1800.
But I signed and sent it away in hope.
Got a text from RBS saying we confirm your payment has been made by cheque. Please allow 10 working days for receipt.
Got them in the post earlier and cashed them straight away.

That's wonderful news for you Perdo1978 - congratulations.

I did wonder whether your trust deed being so long ago might result in this happening.

Was this PPI taken out after your trust deed ended?

My only explanaituon is that branch closed down a few years ago. Perhaps the only kept the required 6 previous years customer info and binned the rest?

The ppi was taken out before trust deed. And I defaulted on the last loan just before entering into a protected trust deed. That loans PPi was also paid out

Hi Pedro1978,

Thatโ€™s fantastic news about receiving the PPI funds even although it was with RBS who you had debt with.

Hopefully something good planned for the money?

Good news Perdro 1978.? Rbs are unreal pay out ppi when they please . And they have the audacity to callenge this in an up and coming court case . Myself and other forum members have been given the runaround and still waiting on money . Rbs seem to play a different game when it comes to larger ppi sums off money due to customers .

If they didn't have an arguable case they wouldn't have been allowed to take the matter forwards to this latest court case.

Let's hope it brings the whole PPI topic to a conclusion.

Come on it's as plane as can be . I'm sure even you can see that . You don't payout to one and not another .

Well... you shouldn't I suppose.

What's interesting is why this might have happened (to me at least). I think it might have something to do with record-keeping and the age of the trust deed.

This is strange indeed as my branch closed 2 years ago and my trust deed discharged in 2010. I will contact RBS once I am able to

We don't know this to be the reason for this claim getting dealt with differently Angibabes.

Just speculation really.
