I at present get paid every 2 weeks and have been offered a monthly paid position, if I accept my first month waiting for paying I would not have enough wages to pay my bills.
If I went to my trust deed would they be willing to miss a payment?
As TDA says, i'm sure if you let your TD comapny know they will understand. It may simply be another month added on at the end of the TD period.
As i've said a few times, the earlier and more honest you are with your provider the easier things are.
Good luck!
Still deciding whether to take it or not as I have another interview next week, both jobs are less money but a better lifestyle choice for me 🙂
I am currently working 56hrs a wk on a shift pattern earning 22K the job is Monday to friday 9-5 earning 18K and the other one of a shift pattern 35hrs per wk average earning 20K neither would mean a drop in what I pay into my trust deed just what I could send outwith
If I change jobs and it doesn't affect the trust deed why do I need to tell them
Just about being honest as it may affect your TD payments.
Its not always about the take home wage, some monthly costs may change as a result e.g. less money to travel to work, and that in turn may mean you will have to pay more.
The more honest you are will avoid any potential issues further down the line.
I know where your all coming from but apart form when I signed the paperwork and called them to see if there was any issues I haven't had any contact from the trust deed company and probably wont til a review is required, if im paying the required amount I don't see why they would need to know, My company already tweaked my outgoings as I didnt have enough spare to make a trust deed viable and asked me if I could afford the 350 a month if they did that to which i replied yes as i was currently paying out over double that, so I don't and can't envisage them expecting more money out of me any time soon
Hi newsm.
If your income or expediture changes it's a good idea to keep your trust deed company in the loop. This can prevent issues further down the line when it comes to your review (and the outcome of it). However it's your decision whether you do so or not.
If you've already pushed yourself to make the agreed trust deed payment viable are you sure you'll be OK with a £2000-£4000 pay decrease?
I changed jobs a couple of times during my TD, from monthly to weekly and back again. Changed my monthly payment to a weekly amount, then back to the monthly payment once I moved jobs again. Due to the time between pay dates, I was allowed to miss the few weekly payments between jobs, and paid a few extra payments to extend my TD and make up the difference.
I work shifts and would find it impossible to change to days as it would cost me a lot more money to go to work. At the moment I do 50hrs every 8 days (4 on 4 off). If I was to go one days, it would mean mon-fri, 36.5hrs per week. That would mean 3 extra days per week childcare, extra travelling to work so during the winter, more fuel. By doing this I would also lose about £7000 per year off my salary.
If the other jobs you're thinking about taking are with the same company, could you speak to them about some sort of errosion of your salary rather than losing the difference straight away? Are the new jobs closer to where you stay? That would give a saving on travel. I could understand the need to change if there was a route to promotion to give you a better job. 56hrs a week is a massive amount and is tiring. I've had a few occasions where I've done 6 shifts in a row. When that's 12's, you want to pass out at the end of it.
Good luck with whatever you decide. I know the shifts I do, I get loads done on my rest days but going on normal days for any length of time would kill me.
Nothing left to discharge - everything's done and dusted!
Dropping the money wouldn't be that bad as my husband works so the trust deed wouldn't be affected but with family commitments now the lure of Mon to Fri is ever increasing
