I recently got married and accordingly my name has changed. I have informed my trustee of the name change but I am wondering if I need to change it for the companies included in my trust deed - loan, old bank account, credit cards etc. I wasn't going to change the name with these companies as I am unlikely to have any direct contact with them and the accounts will close at the end of the trust deed, but I'm not sure if I should inform them anyway.

Thanks.

Hi misslinds.

I wouldn't worry about it. Your trustee can deal with this if they choose to.

Excellent, thanks for your reply TDA. At least that will be a few less companies to contact. The list seems never ending!

Hi misslinds, congratulations! My sister is also in a trust deed just now and after she got married she just told her trust deed company about the name change and now they use both names when sending ltters to her creditors. She did not need to let her creditors know herself, so I would imagine it will be the same for you.
