Hi forum, my car is slowly beginning to fail.... Things keep going wrong with it and is becoming very expensive to fix. It has a value of around ยฃ1700. As I am in a trust deed I know that I'll never get a car loan. What about hire purchase?? I cannot get by without a car as I need it for the school run and for work.
Any advice greatly appreciated!!

Hi Nemo1.

If someone has had success with HP during their trust deed I hope they'll let you know where.

We're speaking with a firm that provides this service to people using an IVA next week. I'm not sure yet whether they offer the service in Scotland but will tell you if they do.

Just reading up on ways of financing a car... Would a PCP agreement b an option? Or definitely not?

Hi Nemo1
I am in a t/d at the moment and have been since nov 2010 and it is for 5 years so still along way to go.But i had the same problem with my car and spoke to my trustee who gave me premission to get a new one.I already had finance with 1st response. So they were more than happy to give me it again.Mind you the rates are alot higher but like u i had no option as i had to get to work. You should give them a try.[?]

Thank you for the reply mamo ๐Ÿ™‚ I'll give my trustee a call tomorrow and see what they say, if it's ok with them I'll give them a try. Only thing is I don't currently have any finance on my car, so this hasn't been budgeted for... But I think we could manage a small amount..
