Sort ofYou will not be able to enter into any sort of finance agreement, however you may be able to enter into a rental style agreement. We often canorganise mid-long term rental agreements for clients.

Hello Ted,Are adverse credit lease payments the same as those without creditproblems, or is there a premium on this? (as well as the larger deposit which Ipresume is also related).Regards,James.

Sometimes the payments can be the same, but more often than not ÔÇô due to thehigher risk, non status payments are more expensive.usually this will alsoaffect the deposit, however currently we have negotiated with a funder forreduced deposits. not sure how long that will go on for though.

Hi, I've had a look at the website and I think I'll enquire about a car. I'll let you know how I get on.

I still haven't been able to phone, but I'll definitely do it over the Easter weekend and let you know how I get on.

MSG Cars - talk about frustrating! Lorrs - a tip if you decide to apply online like me. I've now completed the form three times because when you click the link to read the T&Cs then click to go back, you lose all your data!

Thanks Pammy 1969. I ended up corresponding by email and I've completed a form and they'll get back to me on Tuesday. I've been offered a 2nd hand car from a friend so I'm not too worried, but it would be good to know whether i would be able to lease a car.

Hi, I received an email from Ultracar saying they could help me because their lender/funder isn't interested in past credit history. They ask that anyone applying is traceable on electoral role and at previous addresses, can afford the payments, are contactable by phone and are flexible, ie you may have to take any car you are given rather than the one you want, but it will be one between 6 months and 4 years old.

The email also said the following:

You will always have to pay an initial deposit on the contract which is normally calculated at 4 equal monthly rentals (so if the monthly payment is £220.00 the initial rental will be £880.00 plus the documentation fee and delivery contribution) please note that the initial payment is always required, if you know that you will not be able to raise the initial rental then it is not worth proceeding with the application.

There is always an administration fee which is normally around £125.00

Delivery is charged for the vehicle cost depending on where you are in the UK, in all cases you can also travel down to the funder to collect the vehicle.

They also said that once you've leased a vehicle for a year you can contact them again to request the type of car you want because you'll have built up trust with the lender.

I don't think I'm going to bother proceeding but it's good to know that if you can afford it, then they're able to help.

Thanks for the update Lorraine. I've requested a quote from them and given them my budget of £250 but if they're looking for fours months upfront along with the admin fee, they're not going to get it! I think we'll probably opt for selling the car to the dealer and buying something outright. Sigh...
