In a TD, so is my wife - family don't know about it. My mum has asked to open a bank account in my son's name apparently bank ckerk says she needs a parent to be there to open it and be a authorised signature on a child's account.

Can I do this?

Every end has a start !!

Hi TimeLord.

I cannot see any issue with you opening an account "in trust" for your son.

Thanks TDA, wouldn't there be some firm of credit check done on me similar to if I wished to open another account of my own?

Different banks may vary in their approach TimeLord, but I'm sure you'll be able to get an account open for your son.
