Hiya
Im in the process of getting the trust deed going. I have never been receiving calls from creditors until today. I must say they are horrible to get and deal with. Anyway I hope I have dealt with them correctly.
I have informed them im in entering into a trust deed and gave them the company name and the person that is dealing with my trust deeds number. Have I done it correctly? Should this stop me from getting calls from that creditor?
Thanks for taking the time to read and answer.

It sounds like you handled it very well Amerififer. If it becomes troublesome let your trust deed contact know so they can contact the creditor directly.

Hi Amerififer

You have done the right thing. I have been in a trust deed for over a year now and its great not to be pestered by creditors. I only had one persistant company who phoned me every other day regarding an outstanding debit for a credit card. I was so glad when the trust deed was protected and the calls stopped as soon as I told them this. The cheeky guy said to me that it wouldn't be long before the debt would be chased as I would default on the deed. I nearly told him where to go! I take it a lot of people do not complete their deeds according to him!

Thanks for the responses folks.. This whole area of being in debt is new and a bit overwhelming.
Glad to know I did the right thing from those there before me.
