Hiya
Im in the process of getting the trust deed going. I have never been receiving calls from creditors until today. I must say they are horrible to get and deal with. Anyway I hope I have dealt with them correctly.
I have informed them im in entering into a trust deed and gave them the company name and the person that is dealing with my trust deeds number. Have I done it correctly? Should this stop me from getting calls from that creditor?
Thanks for taking the time to read and answer.

Hi dimaria and welcome to the forum.

You will get phone calls and letters for the first 8-10 weeks of your Trust Deed. After this period your Trustee should have notified the lenders a number of times and it should start to reduce. You all receive the odd phone call and letter throughout the Trust Deed. If you do then speak with your Trustee about it.

Communication from your side is also key to helping stop the phone calls and advising them of your Trust Deed and your reference number will help so keep doing that

dimaria, I get that.
I was tormented with quite a volume of calls and letters, visits at the door, a horrible time.
Someone suggested a written script by the phone, just so you don't depend on saying the right thing when you're very flustered.
For lots of them, it was simply, 'please don't call me again, write to me so I know which company I'm dealing with then we'll both have a record'
Doorstep visits are hardest, I'm sure I imagined it but they seem to have been recruited on nothing else but voice volume.
