Hi, just a quick question. My sixteen year old is going to the bank this week to open a basic account as he needs to have his bursary money paid in. Going with him to help with paperwork etc. Will my TD affect his obtaining an account? Have been really worried about it. [:(]

Hi fedup and TDA,
Thank you for your replies. This is good to know. I would be very upset if my TD affected my kids in any way. Have managed to keep it private for the last 31 months. Looking forward to giving them some little treats again.

Hi herewego,

It's the fear of the unknown I think for people that can cause the most stress and worry. Our minds can sometimes work overtime thinking about everything and the ÔÇ£what ifÔÇØ scenario.

As others have pointed out, there shouldn't be a problem in your son opening a bank account.

Let us know how he gets on as it may help someone in the future who is worrying about the same thing.

Not long now to go until your discharged from your Trust Deed. I hope the 5 months pass quickly for you.
