When should I hear from my TD provider, 3 payments to go, 4 months to go or more? Is there a final review or anything or is the last payment made and that's it over?

Every end has a start !!

Hi Timelord.

These things will vary by provider.

I'd get in touch in advance so you'll know what to expect.

Hi TimeLord,

I assume you must be approaching the end of your Trust Deed. How have you found the whole process so far?

We normally contact/write to our clients when they have 3 payments remaining to tell them their outstanding balance and what the discharge procedure is.

Your actual discharge (Form 5) and when you receive this can vary from firm to firm so I would give your Trustee a quick call and ask what the process is.

Once you have paid your final payment there shouldn't be any need for any final reviews and you should receive your Form 5 within a couple of weeks.

Let us know how you get on once you speak with your Trustee.

Thanks TDA. David, does your company do a final review or anything like that? I'm afraid communication with my provider is, to say the least, poor. I'm going to get on to them though, see where we're at. Mines is not due to expire, sadly, but my wife has only 3 payments to go - all going well 🙂

Hi TimeLord,

We don't do a final review, just a ÔÇ£how have you found the service/is there anything we can do to improveÔÇØ kind of chat and we tell people how they can go about improving their credit rating as it's a common question.

As long as your wife has paid over what was agreed at the start then there shouldn't be any problems.

Thanks David, I had thought there'd be another round of sending in payslips, bank statements etc at the end - if not that's good as in the past with my TD provider that has been a drawn out process. Fingers crossed the end process is smooth.
