Hi, although I have watched from the sidelines (and thank you to all of you who have posted - your experiences/answers/questions have been invaluable) this is my firt post.

I received my Form 5 last week but when checking the AIB website noted that my surname has been misspelt. In fact all of the paperwork in recent months has the wrong spelling of my surname, despite repeatedly telling my TD this is the case. Is this something I should be worrying about? Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum MooMoo and congratulations on completing your trust deed.

I guess there might just be some advantages to having your name misspelt on the Register of Insolvencies?

On the other side, I don't know whether this might create any challenges for you in tidying up your credit file (if you want to do that and it needs doing).

Maybe a case of wait and see?

I'm sure that the AIB would update your record if you raised the matter and provided them with proof of identity.

I know through my job we would still include a miss - spell of a surname on an insolvency search etc if for instance the town matched etc (I'm talking about checks for remortgaging or house sales though)

Despite you telling them they still got it wrong though? There's a shock for me....

thanks for your responses. Interestingly, I decided to look up my credit report as it isn't something I've had to worry about for the past 4 years [:)]and noticed the TD is listed under my correct name! I think I'll keep an eye on this for any future needs.

Thanks again.
