hi, has had any dealings with a company called Trustdeedscotland.net/Kelsom Ltd/Personal Touch Financial Services? i'm on the brink of signing up to a TD and contacted them through the internet. They were very quick to respond and seem very keen to "help" me. I just need to know that i'm going with the right company here, as i have made too many bad mistakes and trusted the wrong people in the past!

Hi dragonfly5 and welcome to the trust deed forum.

The most important things for you to consider at this stage are:

1 - Have you received advice on all of the debt solutions options that are available to you? Do you understand the positives and negatives of each of them as they would specifically apply to you?

2 - If you do, are you happy that you are going to be dealing with a really good trust deed provider? Have you been told which company will handle the trust deed itself?

I have been through all the options and understand that a trust deed would be the best way forward with my situation. The company i contacted are called "trustdeedsscotland.net", so i looked into them a bit more and discovered that they are a branch of Personal touch FS and Kelsom Ltd. I just need to know if they are a reputable?

Hi again.

I don't think that Kelsom are a branch of Personal Touch FS. Being an "appointed representative" is very different to being a branch of a company.

Going back to my original point, I'd suggest that you are very certain that you are happy with the actual trust deed provider that would handle any trust deed you signed. The companies mentioned aren't actual trust deed providers themselves but will have relationships with companies that are.

Ah, i see....I think in that case, i will contact one of the companies that are listed on this site instead. I have not signed anything so far, only asked them for advice and an appointment.

Many thanks for your advice!
