I don't really recognise the basis of your question Wildchild.

As far as I'm aware, one trustee that we have heard about here has made a commercial offer to one forum member and sought their agreement to it.

No amount of money was mentioned.

That's quite different to what you've just written?

Anyway, my response to Kevin's thoughts about this single situation are on here already for anyone to read.

Is this the trustee’s fees, or the fees of the firm that (at one stage) handled the claim?

Claims firms would usually have a contractual clause that they’d get paid if a claim they worked on got paid out in the future.

If so, the trustee might consider they should be paid.

One of those questions you’d probably have to check with the trustee to get the details.

Did you appoint (or have appointed for you) a claims firm while you were in the trust deed?

I'm really struggling to understand on what other basis a fee might fairly be charged, but I could be missing something.

6 months ago bank wrote to me saying I was due a redress on Ppi
Then said however they have sent it to my former trustee. (15 years former )
And told me to take it up with them
So I made contact and was told. No decision be made till mond ruling
Was told monies be kept in a clients holding account till such day
Payment is now on way less 300 pounds. Andwas told it will be explained in the letter so all I can see is they stored my money and charge me 300 for the pleasure

I (personally) would be contesting this.

Vigorously.

You didn't ask them to do this. They took it upon themselves.

Hi, are they saying this is a standard charge or did they take a percentage? Don't think they should be taking anything
