I am mid way through my Trust Deed without any difficulties.

If I were to become an additional card holder on my partner's credit card would this mean a credit check of my file? And would it create a financial association between my partner and I?

Welcome to the forum Lola.

There should be no credit check as you're not getting any credit (it's your partners credit line you're using).

As it's not a joint account I cannot see this creating a financial association on your credit files either.

Hi Lola,

I can't see this being an issue as TDA has advised as you will only be a card holder and technically not responsible for the balance, your partner would be.

Let us know if there are any issues if you do become a joint card holder.
