I completed my trust deed in november,my friend paid the money to the trustee over the outstanding equity and car yesterday.
Am i almost there or is there any hidden dogs yet to bite me before discharge. And do they discharge you automatically, or have you got to request it.
Thanks to you all for your expertise and honesty over the past 3 years.

Once all of your obligations are met your Trustee should issue you with what is known as a Form 5. This is formal confirmation of your discharge.

This doesn't mean the Trust Deed itself is over however as your Trustee will have administration to carry out in the background such as adjudicating claims and paying your creditors. Also, you may be aware that Trustee's are now obligated to pursue potential claims for PPI. It might be worth asking your Trustee exactly where they are in this process as some firms have been pro-active with others not so much.

Hi jimmybee.

I'm not sure that they will, but they'd be entitled to.

Best to give them a call, ask them if they need anything from you, and request an expected timescale for things to happen from here.
