Hi im looking some advice

I've been in my trust deed 2 and abit years now and my payment has been £124 a month from i started , I had a review done in July this year and heard nothing back then 2 nights ago I got an email saying 3 different payment amounts so I phoned to clarify what my new payment actually was going to be , so on the email it said £134 , £189 and £205 so when I phoned she went through it all and I explained my situation has changed I've had to drop a day at work due to caring for my child who receives child disability payment,  so my payment has now went from £124 a month to £205 a month because I receive child disability and I receive cares element and disability element on uc but I thought benefits don't count as income and they can't take from this when I look it up online it says nothing can be taken from benefits so looking advice to see if this is correct because I believe it is incorrect,  I have no issue with my payment going up to £134 but I think £205 is abit much considering I've dropped a day at work and my wages have went down by about £160 a month

Hi Patton94,

Sorry for the delay in anyone getting back to you. I believe your research is correct. You shouldn't be asked to make a contribution from benefits. You could ask your Trustee team for a breakdown of how they've arrived at this new contribution level. If they have included benefit income, then you should challenge this.

Let us know how you get on!
