Please could someone recommend somewhere for small home based business insurance, I was discharged from Bankruptcy in January this year and my husband is currently in a Protected Trust Deed, he is being made redundant, so we are trying to get ahead of the game and open up a small business, obviously unable to get insurance at Direct line for one. Any ideas please?

Hi sezzie.
I'd definitely contact an insurance broker (or two) and be very open with them about your circumstances.
When we're talking about business insurance this all gets very specialised, so professional help can be useful.

Sorry to hear about your husband's redundancy. It's good to see that you are both trying to be proactive and set up a small home based business.
Like TDA has advised, probably best speaking with a couple of insurance brokers who will be better placed to advise you both on this kind of thing.

Hi Sezzie, Try SIS Insurance(don't think I can post link) and as guys above have said call a couple of brokers, there are insurers out there who will be able to quote but best be totally honest and upfront that way no probs if the worst comes and you need to make a claim.
