Hi I wonder if someone could help. I was discharged from my TD last year and according to AiB website my Trustee is also discharged. I received letters informing me about PPI and was sucessful with one claim which was sent directly to me. I didnt tell the Trustee about this as I was discharged as was Trustee. Was I wrong to do this?? I then received a letter today from Barclaycard with regards to an old credit card I had. They have said that they have credited the account with X amount and informing my Trustee about this with the new balance. I was under the impression that this balance had been settled. I had sent them copies of the AiB entry and my discharge letter but it they will still inform the Trustee. My concern is that my having investigated PPI is going to have a negative effect and cause my Trustee to reopen my file if you like and claim back PPI. Can this happen?

Thank you so much for your help.

Some creditors will refund PPI and some will offset it against the previous debt. In your case as both you and your trustee have been discharged, it will have no effect on the former Trust Deed.
