Hey
This might seem like a silly question however when an annual review is done does the trustee check your transactions to make sure you have spent what your meant too? For example my budget for shopping is £410 however not every month I spend that as there maybe other things that I put money aside for (sons birthday next month) from that part of the budget or do they just check that your income matches what is shown on the income part of the income & expenditure review?

The whole thing is giving me anxiety! I am only 2 months into my trust deed & I feel like I won’t be able to have a normal life like go on holiday which I would normally do every year minus the last 2 due to Covid. .As when it comes to the annual review I am worried my trustee will scrutinise my bank statements. I’m just looking for some reassurance if I am honest

Morning Nicci
Try not to worry , the trustee will only sense check the figures to ensure essential expenditure can be verified as well as regular direct debits and standing orders and review the payslips to confirm income.
