If you have any debts to RBS you'll need and want to move to a new bank altogether.

As I understand it only the basic account offered by RBS is available to persons in a trust deed. If you don't change to it nothing may happen, or you may find that the account is suddenly closed leaving you without a banking facility until a new one is set up.

The best thing would be to check directly with RBS though.

I have a select silver account with the rbs, its just a simple current account with no lending facility and i only have a visa debit card for the account.

If i go for a trust deed will i then have to or will the rbs close this account and force me onto there basic account?

I have been told by one person they would then was told by someonelse they wouldnt.

Anyone know the answer to this?
