My Partner & I filed for Sequestration in November 2019, and were discharged in November 2020, and we will finalise our 4 years of payments at the end of this year.    We've recently completed our 6 monthly reviews and my partner has received a letter stating our Trustee has adjudicated on the claims submitted in their Sequestration, and giving them the opportunity to appeal the decision.

Could someone clarify what this means?

There is a Creditor claims summary report included with the letter, and the total of the  agreed claims is more than my partner would have paid in their contributions over the 48 month period.

Hi Tigh.  It just means that the Trustee has agreed the amounts that each of your creditors are owed.  They will each then get their pro-rata share of whatever is in the pot, not the full amount of their claims.

Thanks for your reply Kevin, so nothing to worry about.   It was just when it stated that my partner could appeal against the Trustee's adjudication, we wondered if there was something we should do.

Should I receive a similar letter with regards to my account to?    I haven't received anything so far.

If there are funds to be paid out then the Trustee will need to adjudicate on your creditors' claims too, so you can expect to receive something similar.
